About The Company
Joby is a California-based company building quiet, all-electric aircraft to connect people like never before. Quiet as a conversation and with the ability to take off and land vertically, the Joby aircraft will change the way we move while reducing the acoustic and climate footprint of flight.
About the Role

Company Overview

Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. Since 2009, our team has worked steadily to make this dream a reality. We’ve designed and tested many generations of prototype aircraft capable of serving in a network of electric air taxis. We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.

Overview

Joby Aviation is seeking a motivated and clever software/network engineer as an intern to join the Radio team. During this internship, you will contribute directly towards the testing of the aeronautical mobile telemetry (AMT) datalinks that we use to connect with the aircraft. Joby is looking for candidates with hands-on experience to work with and/or model wireless radio connectivity with the goal of optimizing performance and reliability.

The ideal candidate is energetic, has a positive attitude, is flexible and excited about learning. Expect an internship that is similar to a job you would have when you graduate. You will be expected to maintain a high level of independence and judged on your ability to complete the tasks associated with this internship.
