About The Company
We build software that helps ambitious companies gain a competitive edge—whether it’s through smarter supply chains, seamless integrations, financial clarity, or custom development that breaks the mould. Our team of 150+ developers, engineers, and problem-solvers are some of the best in the business. But what truly sets them apart is their curiosity, straight-up communication, and deep industry expertise. They’re not just writing code—they’re designing solutions that help our clients operate smarter, move faster, and differentiate themselves. We don’t do off-the-shelf. Instead, we offer a best-of-both-worlds approach—proven frameworks and products that provide out-of-the-box certainty, with the flexibility to adapt and evolve as your business grows. At the heart of Sandfield are four specialist business units, each delivering high-performance solutions: 🔹 Origin Supply Chain – A suite of Logistics & Transport applications that connects every moving part of your operation, giving you full visibility, control, and efficiency across your supply chain. 🔹 Crossfire Integration – A fully managed integration service designed for supply chain businesses, ensuring seamless data flow between any system, reducing manual effort and operational friction. 🔹 OnAccount Financial Management – A financial system with deep integration and automation capabilities for complex and high-volume financial processes. 🔹 Edge Custom Development – Bespoke software that solves unique business challenges, delivering tailored solutions where off-the-shelf simply doesn’t cut it. Each business unit operates as a specialist in its field, but the real magic happens when they work together. Our solutions integrate seamlessly, enabling our clients to harness compounding value across their business. From concept and design to development and ongoing support, we’re your technology partner—helping you turn vision into reality. Our work: www.sandfield.co.nz/our-work/

About Sandfield

We’re a leading, Kiwi-owned, software business that prides itself on NOT just being a conventional tech company.

We've been backing ourselves, and our ability to create great solutions for clients, since we first opened our doors in 1989. Since then, we’ve developed some pretty innovative systems for clients which leave other, more high-profile, software packages in the dust.

Our work facilitates high-performance supply chains for the likes of Mainfreight, Qube and Allied Concrete and keeps millions of orders and data points flowing for Foodstuffs. It also manages business finances for Team Global Express and Green Acres, helps fill seats on the Interislander for KiwiRail and keeps Les Mills members engaged...plus so much more.

At Sandfield we take on 7-9 interns a year, ideally, you will be in your penultimate or going into your last year of university studying for an Information Technology / Computer Science / Software Engineering degree with the career aspirations to move into a software development role where you will be exposed to a wide range of technologies.

Our next active recruitment period for 2027 opportunities is between Jan to June 2026 for with internships starting in November 2026. We are also often looking for Graduates to join the team as well, therefore register your interest and we will be in touch.

The majority of our interns that we have had in the past have moved into permanent positions within Sandfield once their degrees have finished.
