Role description: Arcadis is currently searching for a Geologist or Environmental Scientist Intern to join our team in Raleigh or Cary, NC during Summer 2026. Our projects take us across North America and come in all shapes and sizes, offering plenty of variety. This is a great opportunity for exposure to a wide variety of environmental remediation and restoration projects within the consulting environment, with a focus on remediation projects and environmental compliance. This position requires a broad educational background with an emphasis on science and engineering principles and fundamentals. The role sits within our global business area Resilience Environment. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Role accountabilities: This is an internship opportunity for a dynamic student looking for career growth in environmental consulting. The Summer 2026 internship offers an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of environmental projects, work with a great team, and join a successful growing organization with a reputation for high quality work and top-notch employees. Outstanding interns may be eligible for full-time positions after graduation A successful candidate: May work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously and candidates should possess strong communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Will provide field and office support of site wide monitoring and investigation activities including soil, water, and vapor sample collection. Assist project teams supporting remediation system operation and permitted facilities Engage in office work that may include task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, quality assurance/quality control reviews, cost estimates, health & safety plan preparation, report writing, regulatory file review, proposal support, project strategy development, scheduling and cost estimate preparation. The ideal candidate is highly organized and detail-oriented and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong Microsoft Office skills are also required and additional skills in AutoCAD, GIS, and programming are preferred. Qualifications & Experience: Required Qualifications Pursuing a BS Geology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
