Program Dates: May 27 – July 30, 2026

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, on-site

Eligibility: Local candidates; rising juniors or seniors

Overview:
We are seeking a GIS Intern to support our telecommunications and utilities GIS operations. This role offers hands-on experience using GIS tools, working with real data, and contributing to key business processes.


What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with Sales Cost Estimates (SCE) using documented GIS workflows
     
  • Collect and apply 811 locate data to support asset protection
     
  • Perform basic spatial analysis to assist operational teams
     
  • Create monthly locate screen rate reports by territory
     
  • Conduct QA/QC data audits in ArcGIS Online and GeoHub
     
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and scheduled learning & development sessions

Requirements

 

  • Rising junior or senior in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field  
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS tools preferred (coursework accepted)  
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and organization
