About the Role

Air Liquide began operations in Malaysia in 1927 and is one of the pioneers of the gas industry in Malaysia. Operating in 11 locations in Malaysia, comprising both sales offices and production facilities, Air Liquide supports our customers through providing innovative solutions at every step of their production, including industrial and specialty gases, energy solutions, application technologies and services. With a strong workforce of 400 employees and business growth through our recent acquisition with nationwide presence, this will provide an exciting experience and journey with the opportunity that is unique yet challenging to gauge the integration and synergy processes that will change the entire competition landscape in Malaysia.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

  • Participate directly in the operational setup for two different nitrogen generator product lines to acquire hands-on operational startup experience
  • Assisting the Facility Manager in the follow-up and closure of project punch list action items for the new production site
  • Developing and deploying operational checklists and reporting platforms for new production units based on production needs and customer requirements 
  • Creating training materials in accordance with Air Liquide Group Standard requirements for the new production site
  • Updating all Process and Maintenance P&IDs and SOPs to reflect current amendments for existing production units and bulk installations
  • Supporting the implementation of Intelex for the Northern Operation Team's qualification process by consolidating the training matrix
  • Involvement in Group Technical related work scopes
  • Performing other duties as deemed necessary by the reporting supervisor

Learning Opportunities:

  • Participate in Group Technical Standard compliance reviews, gaining firsthand experience with industry best practices
  • Learn about the latest industrial standards related to Process Safety and Product Storage through active involvement in compliance reviews
  • Understand the engineering and design principles that ensure a continuous and reliable supply of industrial gases to customers
  • Expand technical knowledge in crucial areas such as Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Control Systems, Elements Important for Safety (EIS), and Safety Protection Loops & Interlocks
  • Gain practical experience in the commissioning of Nitrogen Generation Plant and contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for its operational setup
  • Obtain practical, firsthand insights into the daily operational workflows and challenges of an industrial gas production plant

  • Minimum diploma or degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or an equivalent field.
