About the Role

About the Role

As a Product Testing Intern, you’ll be hands-on in validating UAV systems through both ground and flight testing. This role combines engineering with field work — expect a significant amount of outdoor testing in varied conditions and locations. You’ll help ensure our systems are reliable, safe, and ready for use in real-world firefighting scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Execute test cases for UAV ground and flight operations

  • Assist in flight testing, including setup, execution, and teardown

  • Collect, analyze, and document results in test reports

  • Assist in Design and build test fixtures to support repeatable, reliable testing

  • Work cross-functionally to diagnose and resolve system issues

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, experience in repairing / building (e.g. bicycles, cars, equipment)

  • Coursework in mechanical design, electrical systems, and statistics

  • Strong interest in hands-on testing of complex hardware/software systems

  • Ability to write clear and structured test plans and reports

  • Comfort working in outdoor environments

  • Bonus:

    • Familiarity with scripting (Python, Bash) for test automation

    • Experience building and piloting hobby UAVs
