About the Role

Tektronix, an operating company under Ralliant, is hosting a Spring or Spring/Summer 2026 Co-op Program for motivated students pursuing careers in engineering.

As a Software/Firmware Verification Engineering Co-op, you will support New Product Development, Sustainment, and Quality validation. You will help assess products to ensure they meet specifications and design documentation. The scope of this role includes embedded firmware, instrument interfaces and communication protocols, application software, and customer use case testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement test plans and methodologies to ensure software and firmware meet functional requirements (e.g., firmware command structures, UI testing, functional/system-level validation).
  • Assist with designing test fixtures and developing automated test software.
  • Help select appropriate testing tools and equipment for assigned testing efforts.
  • Document test designs, policies, and procedures; create, review, and maintain testing documentation.
  • Collaborate with design and sustainment engineering teams to resolve product conformance issues.
  • Participate in scheduling testing activities, monitor progress, and provide status updates.
  • Document and track testing results; recommend corrective actions when needed.
  • Analyze existing testing technologies and suggest process improvements.
  • Learn and apply proper documentation methods for test cases and focused testing plans.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure hardware availability for projects.
  • Define clear testing goals and support their execution.
  • Stay up to date with testing methodologies and best practices, including system security measures.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with test and measurement equipment.
  • Exposure to programming in VB.NET, C++, Python, or Lua.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Additional experience with precision and general test measurement equipment.
  • Background in statistics or data analysis.

Pay Range
The hourly salary range for this position in local currency is $20-40.
