Are you curious about green innovation, sustainability reporting, and corporate responsibility? Would you be our new Trainee in the Group Finance & Sustainability team? 

The Sustainability Trainee will support in advancing the Group’s sustainability reporting by contributing to CDP reporting, building robust processes for CSRD compliance, and supporting EU Green Taxonomy, working together with colleagues in Finland, Germany and Poland. In addition, work areas can include other Group Finance-related tasks aligned with trainee's interests. This role offers hands-on experience in sustainability reporting, data management and communication within the manufacturing environment. 

Your summer with us will include 

1. CDP Reporting 

• Assist in the preparation, collection, and submission of the annual Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather environmental data such as carbon emissions, energy consumption, and water usage.
• Analyze reporting gaps and recommend improvements to achieve higher CDP scores.
• Monitor industry benchmarks and trends to enhance CDP reporting processes.

2. Supporting sustainability reporting processes 

• Support the development of internal processes and frameworks to comply with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the EU Taxonomy. 

3. Other Responsibilities: 

• Supporting Group finance in other Group Finance-related tasks aligned with trainee´s interests, such as IFRS reporting and internal controls.  
• Monitor regulatory developments, industry trends, and innovations in sustainability reporting.
• Contribute to cross-functional team efforts to embed sustainability into the company’s culture and operations. 

We hope that you

• Are a recent graduate or current student in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. 

• Have basic knowledge of sustainability reporting standards (e.g., CDP, CSRD); financial reporting is a plus. 

• Possess strong analytical skills and can work with data. 

• Communicate effectively in English; Finnish is optional. 

• Are proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn. 

• Preferred: Previous experience or coursework in sustainability, reporting, or ESG. 

Location & Trainee Period

The job is located in Helsinki or Uusikaupunki but has a possibility to work also from Turku office and remotely.

The trainee period runs May–August.
