Join us as an Architectural Intern, where you'll embark on a thrilling adventure through the diverse realms of architecture, from Planning to Design and beyond. At DesignGroup, we are dedicated to providing an internship experience that empowers students to actively contribute to the design process while benefiting from personalized mentorship by seasoned design professionals. Alongside engaging project work, we foster continuous learning through enriching experiences such as site tours, studio crawls, and office-wide lunch and learn sessions.

 

Your Essential Duties: As our Architecture Intern, you'll wear many hats, collaborating with Project Designers, Architects, Interior Designers, and Project Managers. Your journey will include:

  • Translating creative visions into architectural documents with technical excellence.
  • Coordinating project elements while contributing to program integrity and design intent.
  • Engaging in the design process using various software platforms like REVIT, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Dynamo.
  • Actively participating in construction phase documentation reviews.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications


We are seeking ideal candidates currently enrolled in an accredited U.S.-based higher education program, with plans to return to school in the Fall. Graduating students concluding their studies in the Spring, who won't be returning to school, are also encouraged to apply.

  • Effective Communicator: Skillfully presenting information, responding adeptly to inquiries, and ensuring comprehensive communication within the team.
  • Your Toolset: Proficient in Autodesk Suite, with a focus on REVIT.Skilled in SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

As part of your application process, include a portfolio showcasing your work, with a maximum file size of 3 MB. Aim to curate your portfolio to feature 3 or 4 of your most exemplary works. Each piece should tell a compelling story, incorporating essential process information such as models, sketches, and diagrams that elucidate your design thinking. We value a comprehensive view, so encompass the entire design journey, from initial phases to the final imagery. In cases of collaborative efforts, acknowledge primary team members, and emphasize your specific contributions to the work and the overall process. Please note that web-based portfolios are not accepted at this time.
