Lonza offers a commercial internship in the HR Operations Switzerland Team to support the department. During the internship you will gain an insight into the daily business of an international active company and the activities in the Human Resources department. Throughout your internship, you will support the administrative tasks on daily basis, and you will be given the opportunity to contribute as an active team member within our team.

The internship position is to be filled as of 01 March 2026 at our location in Basel or Visp.

What you will do:

  • Support the Payrolling team by managing and assisting with all administrative tasks related to payroll operations.
  • Maintain, update, and ensure data integrity within the Personal Information System.
  • Handle employee-related requests, prepare employer certifications
  • Coordinate with external payroll providers.

  • A strong teammate
  • Interest in HR 
  • Self-motivated and strong administration & organizational skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, fluency in German and good knowledge in English
  • The ability to work accurately, with attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn
  • Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Offices
  • Team worker and contributing to a positive work environment
