Alera Group is hiring for 2026 Summer Interns!


Alera Group was founded in 2017 and has grown to become the 14th largest broker of US business. We are passionate about our clients’ success in the areas of Employee Benefits, Property and Casualty Insurance, Retirement Plan Services, and Wealth Services. With a network of offices nationwide, our commitment to collaboration allows us to offer national resources combined with local service.

 

Overview

Our internship program provides hands‑on experience in the fast‑paced world of insurance and financial services. Interns gain exposure to one or more core areas—Employee Benefits, Property & Casualty, Wealth Management and Retirement Planning Services—based on interests and business needs.

 

You’ll work in person alongside industry professionals, receiving mentorship, participating in professional development sessions, and engaging with organizational leaders. Interns also join a collaborative cohort, building networks and skills while exploring potential pathways to full‑time employment.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field 
  • Interested in insurance and financial services industries 
  • Motivated to participate fully in team efforts with a collaborative spirit
  • Strong organizational and problem solving abilities
  • Demonstrates initiative and incorporates feedback to drive continuous improvement

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate student in risk management, insurance, business, or a related field (preference for rising seniors) with strong communication skills and attention to detail

  • Quick learner with the ability to ask thoughtful questions, solve problems, and adapt in a dynamic, client-centered environment

  • Team-oriented, collaborative mindset with a positive attitude and eagerness to contribute


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The internship will run from early June through mid‑August, lasting approximately 10 weeks, with exact dates determined by the intern and their direct manager. Must be local to this office to apply.
