Begin Your Career in Commercial Lending with Univest as an SBA Credit Intern

 

Step into the world of small business and government guaranteed lending with a hands‑on internship designed to build your financial, analytical, and professional skill set. As a Univest SBA Credit Intern, you’ll support our SBA Portfolio Managers, Underwriters, and Operations Team by assisting with borrower financial information requests, annual reviews, documentation compliance, and new loan applications, all while gaining real‑world experience in credit analysis and SBA (US Small Business Administration) lending procedures. If you’re pursuing a finance or accounting degree and are eager to grow your skills in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment, this is an excellent opportunity to learn, contribute, and make an impact.

 

This internship is fully in‑person in West Lawn, PA and requires working 30–40 hours per week, scheduled over four or five days.


Responsibilities

Assist SBA Portfolio Manager with the request for borrower’s financial information.

 

Assist SBA Portfolio Manager with the completion of annual reviews.

 

Assist SBA Portfolio Manager with insurance and documentation exception compliance.

 

Assist the SBA Underwriters with spreading financial statements and organizing information for new loan applications.

 

Assist the SBA Operations Team with new loan applications, as needed.

 

Ensure compliance with Univest Bank Credit Policy and US Small Business Administration Standard Operating Procedures. 

 

Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor degree in finance or accounting

 

Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

 

Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to work within compressed deadlines.

 

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

 

Wage Range:
