About the Role

Interns at Belle Tire gain valuable, hands-on experience while learning what it's like to work in a professional environment. Interns are immersed in the business, participate in day-to-day department activities, and contribute meaningful work as part of the team. The Human Resources Intern works closely with all areas of the HR function, gaining broad exposure while supporting key initiatives across the department.

 

What You'll Do

  • Learn about our business by attending meetings, huddles and trainings
  • Gain exposure to the day-to-day functions and strategy of the Human Resources department including talent acquisition/recruiting, employee relations, payroll and benefits, training and development, human resources information systems, and general human resources support
  • Build relationships, make connections and network with professionals and your peers
  • Share creative ideas that will help improve our business
  • Assist in creating reports, analyze metrics and summarize information
  • Assist in creating materials and/or presentations
  • Send out communications, respond to phone calls/e-mails and overall provide support to employees regarding human resources policies and processes
  • Complete a HR-related project and present final product to senior leadership

 

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

 

Work Environment

The position is based in an office environment, requiring periods of sitting and the operation of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and other office tools. Work hours are typically 8-5, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours as needed.
