Engineering Intern (Powertrain Calibration - Combustion and Electric)

 

AVL South America is the world's largest independent company for the development, simulation, and testing of propulsion systems (hybrids, combustion engines, transmissions, electric drives, batteries, fuel cells, and control technology) for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, construction, large engines, and their integration into the vehicle.

We are looking for an Application Engineering Intern (Calibration) to join our team at our Guarulhos-SP unit.

 
 
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Support the instrumentation processes of projects for test execution.

  • Assist in the preparation of presentations for client meetings.

  • Support Development Engineers in Powertrain Engineering routines.

  • Assist Engineers in technical discussions with AVL Test Engineering and the client.

  •  Participate in meetings to discuss national and international projects.

  • Work model: On-site Internship hours: 08:00 to 15:00


 
YOUR PROFILE:
 
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Naval, Aeronautical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronic, Automation Engineering, or another technical-focused degree.
  • Availability for a  2-year internship.
  • Intermediate/advanced English - frequent contact with international clients.
  •  Advanced knowledge of the Office apps.
  • Differential: Knowledge of calibration software, interface tools (INCA, ATI, MDA), familiarity with combustion or electrified powertrains, participation in student activities such as Formula, and exposure to vehicle and powertrain control system calibration activities.
