About the Role

Sales Summer Internship 

The District Sales Manager Intern will work directly with experienced sales leaders to support account management, customer engagement, and business development activities. This is a hands-on role designed to expose students to real-world B2B sales in the utility and energy infrastructure industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze year-over-year sales performance by territory, product line, and key accounts
  • Build basic dashboards and reports to track bookings, shipments, and revenue trends
  • Identify growth areas, declines, and patterns in customer buying behavior
  • Support forecasting and territory planning with data-driven insights
  • Present findings to sales leadership in clear, visual formats

Learning Opportunities

  • Learn how sales data is used to drive strategy and territory decisions
  • Gain hands-on experience with CRM data, Excel, and reporting tools
  • Develop analytical skills for business decision-making
  • Understand how metrics influence pricing, targeting, and account focus
  • Help track opportunities, orders, and account activity in CRM systems
  • Support special projects related to sales strategy and territory planning

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.2.
  • Strong and interpersonal skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Interest in sales, business development, or industrial markets
