About the Role
Schneider Electric is looking for a curious, tech-savvy student to join our internship program focused on Systems Application Engineering Intern. As an intern, you’ll collaborate with our engineering team to design, install, and service cutting-edge building automation systems. This hands-on experience will allow you to work alongside seasoned engineers and project managers, gaining practical skills and industry insight that will set you apart in your career.

 

 

What will you do?

  • Learn to read and interpret basic specifications, drawings, and cost estimates.
  • Assist in preparing hardware documentation and simple programming tasks with mentor support.
  • Support the team in maintaining engineering standards and basic sequences of operations.
  • Help review project documents such as coordination drawings and material lists.
  • Participate in resolving project issues through research and communication with team members.
  • Contribute to project close-out by organizing final documentation and drawings.
  • Learn and use engineering tools such as Visio, AutoCAD, and other internal tools.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Interest in building automation, energy management, or control systems.
  • Strong willingness to learn and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Must be in or near the Andover, MA area.
  • Must be able to work during the Fall 2026 semester.

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $23.00 - $27.00 per hour. In addition, this position is eligible for overtime pay and recognition programs.

 

The compensation rate for this position is for candidates located within the United States. Individual pay is determined by several factors including knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
