Job Responsibilities:

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Quality Systems Intern as Magna AIM Systems, you will support the ongoing development and improvement of our Quality Management System (QMS) through hands-on experience our process auditing, dimensional monitoring and system enhancement. This internship provides an opportunity to gain valuable exposure to IATF standards, SPC tools and AI-driven training technologies withing a fast-paced, automotive manufacturing environment.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Support QMS development and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to IATF 16949, Mafact, and MQS standards.

· Assist in maintaining and updating quality documentation, procedure and audit records.

· Support and help implement SPC (Statistical Process Control_ software to improve dimensional monitoring and process stability.

· Support and implement of DeepHow AI software to improve training programs for Quality Technicians and operators.

· Assist in developing visual work instructions and training modules that promote standardization and compliance.

· Support efforts to enhance the internal auditing system by:

o Conducting RPFMEA audits and updating documentation based on audit findings.

o Integrating internal audits into the Ease electronic platform for improved tracking and visibility.

· Participate in layered process audits, follow-up review and document control activities.

· Provide support to engineering, production and quality teams in maintaining customer satisfaction and reducing nonconformances.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

· Effective written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to interpret data, charts and technical documentation.

· Team-orientated mindset with a proactive approach to learning and process improvement.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

· Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related technical field.

· Coursework or project experience related to quality systems, data analysis or process improvement preferred.

· Familiarity with IATF 16949 or ISO 9001 standards is an asset.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:

· Basic knowledge of SPC, FMEA and APQP methodologies.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Work, PowerPoint) and basic data analysis tools.

· Exposure to Ease, DeepHow or other digital quality management platforms preferred.

· Understanding of root cause analysis and problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
