Job Responsibilities:

The Summer Student will assist the Property Management and Construction Project Management teams with administrative, operational, and logistical tasks. This role supports real estate initiatives, facility management, and large-scale communication projects to ensure smooth operations across multiple sites.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Property Management Support:
•    Update and maintain Magnet system, ensuring links to the real estate page are accurate.
•    Create and integrate a new USPS shipping form into the existing system, enabling users to select preferred shipping methods easily.
•    Update security program with corrected names for readers and access levels.
•    Revise and standardize camera names for better identification and system organization.
Construction Project Management Assistance:
•    Support project documentation and tracking for ongoing construction and renovation projects.
•    Assist with vendor coordination and scheduling for property-related services.
•    Assist project managers with onsite project meetings in the Metro Detroit area. 
Facility Management & Logistics:
•    Help organize large-scale communications for facility updates and project milestones.
•    Provide logistical support for office moves, equipment installations, and space planning.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. 
•    Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. 
•    Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. 
•    Experience or familiarity with CAD software and emerging design tools. 
•    Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Project or similar scheduling platforms. 
•    Basic knowledge of website design and content updates.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
•    High School Diploma
•    Currently attending a College or University (preferably in Real Estate, Construction Management, Architecture, Facility Management or related field).


SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS: 
•    Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
•    Professional Communication skills (written and verbal) 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT: 
•    Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
