POSITION OVERVIEW
Magna’s Body & Chassis team is looking for an Intern to join our marketing department. Your work will include supporting the global marketing & communications functions, including preparing presentations, conducting market analysis, supporting the team with events & video, and supporting internal / employee communications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Collaborate with corporate, sales, engineering, and divisions to support marketing and communications projects
· Support the marketing team with trade shows and customer events
· Perform market analysis and research on the latest trends
· Manage the MagnaNOW (internal communication tool) by creating and posting content
· Work with sales, engineering and production divisions on marketing assets
· Support local video shoots and support in editing
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Some related experience preferred
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma required
· Currently attending a 4-year college or university
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
· Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology.
· Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
· Proficient computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Knowledge of Adobe software including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro is a plus
· Knowledge of Python programming language is a plus
· Interest in the automotive industry is a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
