Job Responsibilities:

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated intern to join our team. The role requires a basic understanding of computer vision and machine learning technologies, especially for industrial applications like defect detection, quality assurance, and process optimization. Knowledge of Python and C++ programming languages is expected. Additionally, knowledge of relevant mathematics, statistics, machine learning techniques, data pipelines, and software development workflows is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The candidate will:

  • Perform and present data analysis results based on requests of supervisors.
  • Create data/machine learning pipeline in one of the popular cloud platforms.
  • Participate in development and improvement of a software solution.
  • Test and evaluate the developed solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate student (Ph.D. preferred) of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or computer engineering/science, or equivalent engineering, math or science discipline.
  • Strong Python and C++ programming experience is required.
  • Familiarity with Deep Learning (TensorFlow or PyTorch) and Cloud Platforms preferred.
  • Experience with software development process preferred.
  • Experience in computer vision tasks like image classification, object detection, or semantic segmentation, 3D reconstruction is a plus.

Education / Experience

  • Currently attending University, preferably a graduate student.

Special Knowledge / Skills:

  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work on complex engineering systems with creative ways.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Professional Communication skills (written and verbal).

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
  • The candidate may be exposed to the automotive manufacturing environment.
