Job Responsibilities:

Position Overview

This position is responsible for analyzing vehicle emission regulations, and fleet performance in developing world markets. Regional focus is primarily the Global South however the assignment will require some study of all markets for the purpose of comparison. Key objectives include summarizing greenhouse gas and tailpipe emission requirements, identification of test procedures used, analysis of fleet performance trends, and enablement of ongoing updates to this body of work. The assignment may also include support of Magna Powertrain team special studies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and document vehicle emissions requirements in developing markets.
  • Determine test procedures used and compare/contrast fleet performance at a global level.
  • Build a transferable process for future updates on this subject.
  • Support analysis of China Technology Roadmap 3.0, with focus on powertrain strategies

Qualifications:

  • Must be fluent in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exposure to Data Analytics course work is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of automobile and automotive engineering is a plus.

Education / Experience

  • Major focused on Environmental Studies or Business/Management..
  • Currently attending university (Junior or above level preferred) or undergraduate degree complete.
  • Exposure to Data Analytics course work is a plus.

Special Knowledge / Skills:

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong research skills.
  • High interest in propulsion system topics and the automotive industry

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
