POSITION OVERVIEW
The Purchasing Intern assumes supports continuous improvement projects to support the team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Create automated resin forecasting / price tracking tool / Sharepoint site.
· Develop template and review sourcing cost cards from the divisions to identify gaps from best-in-class market pricing for injection molded parts.
· Create tool to provide visibility for future sourcing for the next 6-12 months to maximize sourcing leverage for the group.
· Other continuous improvements projects identified by the purchasing leadership team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Strong excel ability and working knowledge of SharePoint.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
· High School Diploma
· Currently Attending a College or University with focus on purchasing, supply chain, or MP&L field
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
· Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
