About the Role
Overview

The DSG Compliance Analyst will primarily support the Digital Security Group – GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance), dedicating approximately 75% of the time to the policy and standard compliance program. This includes working closely with internal KPMG ITS policy and standard owners to ensure compliance and acting as a facilitator and coordinator to ensure compliance activities are executed by responsible teams. Additionally, the analyst will spend 25% of the time supporting the Digital Security Group - Platform Security team.


What you will do

  • Collaborate with ITS teams to review and confirm alignment with KPMG Global policies and standards
  • Assist in scheduling reviews and follow-ups to ensure ongoing adherence to Global policies and standards
  • Facilitate communication between ITS teams and leadership regarding compliance requirements and deadlines
  • Support DSG-GRC team in preparing compliance dashboards and reports for leadership
  • Support policies/standard owners and DSG-GRC team to file Global Exemption Requests when required
  • Track remediation activities and ensure timely closure of compliance gaps
  • Act as a liaison between ITS teams and leadership for compliance-related inquiries
  • Assist in handling Adhoc SARs in SNOW, NITSO Global tickets, managing tracking of these and ensuring risks are documented adequately
  • Assist in development of SAR AI BOT
  • Assist in tracking new security standards actionable

What you bring to the role

  • Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Good understanding of IT policies, standards, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST 800-53) 
  • Strong interest in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multiple teams
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and processes
  • Relevant coursework or academic projects in cybersecurity or risk management
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CISA, CRISC, CGEIT) are not required but considered an asset, but not required
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $43,500 to $60,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
