About the Role
Trinity Industries is searching for a dynamic Summer 2026 Engineering Intern at our Longview, TX plant!
 
This internship offers experience in various series of tests, monitoring data, and writing reports on findings at our facility. You will also help design a prototype tank car assisting with plant readiness. 
 
What You'll Do:
  • Design of testing, monitoring data, and writing reports 
  • Design, prototyping, and assisting in plant readiness 
  • Use 3D CAD modeling, prototyping, test engineering principles and liaison engineering responsibilities  
  • Data Analytics 


 

What You'll Need:

  • Pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree (Junior year preferred) 

  • Be onsite in Longview, TX and travel to Addison, TX on occasions
