Job Details

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated interns to join our team. This internship program is designed to provide you with valuable insights into our industry, company culture, and day-to-day operations. You will gain knowledge by supporting the day-to-day operations of the compliance team, assisting with data entry, research, reporting, and administrative tasks related to federal and state campaign finance compliance. This role offers hands-on experience in political compliance, financial reporting, and campaign operations within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

 

This position is ideal for students or recent graduates interested in government, political science, law, or finance, who want to learn the mechanics of campaign compliance and the inner workings of the political industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support data entry and reconciliation of contributions and expenditures using compliance software systems.
  • Conduct donor and vendor research to ensure compliance with contribution limits and reporting requirements.
  • Help monitor and track reporting deadlines, filing schedules, and amendments.
  • Review and verify backup documentation for receipts and disbursements.
  • Aid in the organization and archiving of compliance records and supporting documentation.
  • Assist in quality control checks and internal audits to maintain accuracy and adherence to regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings to review reporting calendars, deadlines, and workflow.
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the compliance and reporting team. 

Qualifications


Current enrollment in a relevant degree program (undergraduate or graduate).

Strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate ideas and present findings.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and any relevant software or tools.

Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Proactive, adaptable, and a strong team player.

Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
