About the Role

Are you seeking practical experience in marketing? Fox Chase Cancer Center (FCCC), is a premier regional cancer institute, designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute and located in Philadelphia, PA. As part of the Temple University Health System, the Office of Community Outreach and Engagement at FCCC seeks a graduate student intern to assist with media and communication efforts to strengthen visibility and growth. This opportunity will expose you to the inner workings of a healthcare system and its role in community-based outreach.

Responsibilities include an assessment of current activities, recommendations for improvement, creating compelling content, and drafting a marketing/communications plan with clear evaluation outcomes that align with institutional, and departmental aims. OCOE staff will be responsible for implementation of the plan; however, if time allows, the intern will be a member of the team. This is a 15-week paid internship for a total of 120 hours. Supervision will be provided by OCOE and the marketing department at FCCC.

Requirements: Strong foundation in marketing principles, social media platforms and analytics, project management, strong writing and communication skills, graphic design. Experience with Marketo software preferred but not required.
