From technical and engineering to software development ABLOY provides a diverse opportunity for those with skill, determination and drive to add trust into society - creating a more secure and safer future.

We are looking for a Mechanical Trainee to take responsibility for supporting the development of digital cylinder products. The team is in Joensuu, and as a trainee, it would be preferable if you could visit the office often.

The tasks will be determined based on the applicant’s skills and experience, but they may include, for example:
• 3D design using SolidWorks software
• Updating and creating 2D drawings, spare part and dimension drawings
• Tolerance design
• Assembly and testing of prototypes

We work as a team, so you will receive the necessary support for your work and have the opportunity to learn from experienced experts.

The best qualifications for the position are studies in mechanical design at a university of applied sciences or university level. We value teamwork skills, accuracy, initiative, as well as enthusiasm and willingness to learn new things.

The start date of the employment is negotiable, preferably in May–June. The duration of the employment is 3–5 months.

Please submit your application no later than March 31, 2026. However, please note that applications will be processed and interviews conducted during the application period, and the position will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found. The recruitment process includes a basic security clearance for the selected candidate.
