About the Role

Description

Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Intern provides administrative support for the recruiting and hiring process, with exposure to other HR functions. 

Responsibilities & Duties:  

  • Support and lead recruitment efforts for hourly, shop-floor positions. 
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings and interviews. 
  • Assist with new-hire orientation and onboarding activities. 
  • Serve as a technical resource by addressing and resolving questions and issues related to the recruiting function. 
  • Create and post job openings on various job boards, internal platforms, and social media channels. 
  • Organize and maintain employee records by scanning and uploading new and existing documents into the electronic filing system. 
  • Assist the Human Resources department with additional HR-related functions and projects, as assigned. 
  • Manage and respond to departmental mail and correspondence. 
  • Follow and comply with all safety regulations and work rules and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; enrollment in related field of study at a 2 or 4 year college preferred.
