Will provide additional support for Sports Turf Manager with field maintenance and operations as needed. Using best management practices in all phases of responsibilities to ensure site and landscape areas are of the highest quality regarding safety, functionality, and aesthetics.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>DURATION: </strong>This Internship is Seasonal and will run from approximately April/May - August 2026. Exact dates to be confirmed prior to start. &nbsp;</p> <h4>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</h4> <h4>Assist the Grounds Coordinator and crew with the maintenance and upkeep of Broncos Park powered by CommonSpirit property</h4> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Landscape Maintenance</span></p> <ul> <li>Work daily with Grounds Coordinator to ensure landscapes are in accordance with organizational expectations</li> <li>Execute daily plans for the maintenance and upkeep of the Broncos Park property, including but not limited to all fine turf areas, native grass areas, planting beds, trees, and shrubs</li> <li>Perform industry standard cultural practices to include: mowing, irrigation use, fertility programs, pesticide applications, seasonal renovations, over-seeding, etc.</li> <li>Assist in the maintenance of all equipment, materials, and supplies required for all landscape operations</li> <li>Provide input to department staff members on landscape needs and maintenance requirements</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Site and Grounds</span></p> <ul> <li>Perform regular upkeep on all drainage areas, including detention ponds and sediment basins</li> <li>Work with department staff in the execution of various onsite projects</li> <li>Ensure property is in a safe, functional, and presentable manner for all users and visitors</li> </ul> <p><strong>Assist the Senior Director of Sports Turf &amp; Grounds and/or the Sports Turf Manager with the maintenance and upkeep off all sports turf playing surfaces at Broncos Park powered by CommonSpirit</strong></p> <ul> <li>Operate equipment associated with the maintenance and upkeep of the playing field surfaces</li> <li>Assist in the painting of all playing field surfaces as needed</li> <li>Aid in playing field setup for team practices and/or special events</li> </ul> <h4>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</h4> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in a 2 or 4 year turfgrass/horticultural program</li> <li>Willing to work extended hours, including weekends</li> <li>Be able to arrange transportation and living requirements</li> <li>Be able to provide letters of recommendation from an academic advisor and/or a present or past employer</li> <li>Ability to use smart phone</li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITY</strong></p> <ul> <li>College-level coursework preferred</li> <li>Excellent work ethic and professionalism</li> <li>Experience operating industry standard equipment</li> <li>Ability to work in adverse weather conditions</li> <li>Work well in a team setting</li> <li>Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills</li> <li>Good oral and written communication skills</li> <li>Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations</li> <li>Must have ability to maintain confidentiality</li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="white-space: normal; text-align: justify;">In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the hourly rate will be $19.29/hour.</span></span></p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>The Denver Broncos Football Club and Stadium Management Company are an equal opportunity employer and do not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age 40 and over, disability, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable law or regulation.
