About The Company
Overland fosters collaborative relationships and a discovery process that pushes architecture beyond aesthetics and shelter. This gives rise to places that tell stakeholders' collective story. Through this experience, visitors become participants. They find voice for their own stories. They are changed. Architecture is our means to articulate visions and ideas that pull communities together. In turn, it helps to repair rifts and establish platforms to reach our collective aspirations. Our projects bring people back into relationships with the land, their history and each other. We work every day to live up to our mission, “Modeling how we should live and influencing the world through the practice of architecture.”

Description

What We Are Looking For
Overland Partners is looking for quality students who thrive in a highly creative environment. We are seeking current students who display a willingness to learn, the ability to problem solve, and have completed a 4-year degree and are taking a gap year before graduate school.

Common Duties & Responsibilities

Our interns are fully integrated on project teams and will be scheduled for a variety of project tasks, ranging from conceptual design support to detailing and redlining. Though every intern’s experience will differ, those who exhibit confidence, and a strong collaborative attitude are generally given more responsibility within project team structures. Our goal as a firm is to unlock the embedded potential in our projects, creating catalysts for transformation for both our firm and the intern.

Qualifications

We expect interns to know Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and the Adobe Suite. Applicants will be evaluated on the quality of the shared portfolio, personal interview, past work experiences, and references.

We are looking for full-time student interns for a period of 6 to 12 months at both our San Antonio and Austin office locations.
