Production Intern

Job Overview:

The Linde Gas United States (LGUS), Hydrogen (HyCO) division of Linde, Inc. is currently seeking an Intern - Production Technician at the Whiting, IN hydrogen / CO2 production facility.

The intern will be trained and developed to work side-by-side with the plant's current Production Technicians. You will aid in operating the equipment associated with multiple Hydrogen reformers, a CO2 removal / liquefaction plant, and various distribution systems. 

Responsibilities:

Duties will include:

• Adjustments to process variables
• Startup and shutdown of process equipment
• Preparing equipment for maintenance work including lock-out tag-out
• Correctly and safely permitting maintenance work
• Conducting quality checks for merchant products
• Monitoring equipment performance.

Must know when to call qualified operators when completing assigned duties. 

Working extended hours and/or weekends, holidays and call-ins may be available.

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Enrolled in college, working towards at least an Associates degree in Process Technology or another related field is preferred
• Plant Operations experience a plus.
