Description
We are seeking a Research Intern to support our Research Team across all aspects of investment analysis, reporting, and manager documentation. This role will primarily focus on traditional asset classes, with periodic exposure to hedge funds and private market investments. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, motivated, and eager to gain hands-on experience within a collaborative investment research environment.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with weekly in-office days in our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania location, combined with remote flexibility.
The role will include a combination of the following responsibilities:
Meeting & Communication Support:
- Assist with scheduling meetings and conference calls with asset management contacts.
- Communicate with mutual fund, hedge fund, and corporate representatives as needed.
- Present information and respond to questions from managers, advisors, and clients.
- Collaborate with internal and external advisors to support ongoing initiatives.
Administrative & Operational Support:
- Provide administrative support to the Asset Management group.
- Perform data entry, scanning, organization, and maintenance of electronic files.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contact information in Outlook and internal CRM systems.
- Ensure organized, consistent records across multiple databases.
Research & Project Assistance:
- Assist in producing research-related documents, reports, and materials.
- Support special projects and complete additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
You might be a great match if you have:
- Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university and on track to earn a BA/BS within the next 12 months.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think analytically, both qualitatively and quantitatively.
- Basic knowledge of research methods.
- Ability to interpret financial reports, technical journals, business periodicals, and regulatory documents.
- General office experience preferred but not required.
