Position Description: Finance Intern

This position will focus on assisting day-to-day responsibilities in the AP department. Responsibilities will include entering time sensitive bills, reviewing company credit card transactions, and other on demand tasks. This role is a part-time position during the school year and can be full-time during the summer.  


Essential Job Duties:

  • Enter bills on a regular schedule into our AP system, ensuring accuracy of coding and classing.
  • Help with review of company credit card charges, ensuring accurate coding and compliant receipts.
  • Assist with analytical projects as needed.      
  • Support both Accounts Payable team with month end tasks.
  • Communicate effectively & professionally (written and verbal) with people both inside and outside the company.
  • Cooperate with management to complete any other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Pursuing a 2- or 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance or related analytical field.
  • Ability to effectively communicate on the phone and through email/text in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Computer skills including the ability to perform advanced functions in excel including pivot tables, lookup functions, etc.  
  • Strong attention to detail will be key to success in this role.  
  • Ability to read, write, clearly speak, and understand English.
  • A favorable drug test and acceptable background and driving record are also required.
  • This role is onsite in Fridley, MN.  

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Communicates through telephone conversations, email, text and face-to-face interactions.
  • The ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • This is a physical position with extensive movement, including, but not limited to bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, and reaching overhead.
  • Read printed materials and a computer screen.
  • The ability to perform tasks that require hand-eye coordination.
