About the Role

Position: Engineering Co-op/Internship

Primary Location: Celina TX, On site

Schedule: Full time hourly

Reports To: Operations Manager

Compensation: $22 - $29 per hour.

Hourly rates are determined by role, level, and location. The hourly rate displayed on each job posting reflects the starting rate for new hires for the position. Rates may also be determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. More specific rate factors for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process.

About This Role and About You

The Co-op’s primary responsibility is to complete projects assigned. Assignments will vary in scope and duration which will expose the Co-op to a variety of facets of the Chemtrade Facility. Projects will include program evaluations, operational project implementations, and other Process or EHS tasks. Students will be brought on for 4 -12 months starting in May 2025.

 

Responsibilities

· Establish operating procedures for ferric sulfate and LAS manufacturing process using work instructions and operating guidelines.

· Develop prepopulated Energy Control Procedures (ECP) for operating equipment.

· Create and Update Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) of operating process using AUTOCAD.

· Collaborate with Production department in establishing procedures and work instructions.

· Collaborate with Maintenance department for CMMS support

· Contribute ideas for improving process and existing management systems.

· Collection of plant data and evaluating compliance.

· Supporting all aspects of EHS compliance

· Provides technical information to the engineering and maintenance functions as requested.

· May assist in initiating plant investigations related to proposed changes

· All activities as assigned by the Process/Project Engineer

 

Qualifications

· Education: 2nd/ 3rd Year Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Student

· Minimum GPA: 2.5 / 4.0

· Technical Skills: Knowledge and experience in AUTOCAD and MS Office preferred. Proficient in all areas of engineering, computers, and engineering programs as expected from a chemical or mechanical engineering student. Good organization and communication skills. Ability to create work instructions and procedures
