About the Role

Calgon Carbon Corporation is currently looking for a dynamic, motivated college student for our 2026 Internship program which is scheduled to begin on June 1, 2026.


Position: Engineering Intern – Pearl River
Location: Pearl River Plant – Pearl River, MS


Hours of work: Full-time position with hours generally Monday through Friday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

Overview

Our internship program provides real-world experience enabling future professionals the ability to apply what they are learning in school, to applicable situations in a career field they are pursuing. This internship program helps interns gain additional skills that can be applied to future jobs. 

The PRP Engineering Intern will e responsible for 1 major project and participate & support other activities in the maintenance department. The major project will be creating work processes and systems in Prometheus Mobile, a maintenance software new to Calgon that will be integrating with our manufacturing management software (GSAP). In addition to the Prometheus Project, the other activities include drafting maintenance procedures as well as supporting & learning reliability engineering practices, turnaround management and execution, and capital project management. These activities will provide a wide range of exposure in the manufacturing industry


Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Maintenance Procedures in Backlog
  • Set up Prometheus System & Rounds for PRP Maintenance Department Draft
  • Participate & Support in Reliability Initiatives at PRP (Root Cause Analysis, Drawing Folder Organization, Equipment Re-Design)
  • Participate & Support in Turnaround Planning and Execution of the G-Line June Outage
  • Participate & Support in PRP Capital Projects

Relevant Fields of Study - Working towards a bachelor’s degree or higher in:

  • Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial)
