About the Role

Role Overview

Start your career journey with a paid internship at Sodexo! Step into a hands-on learning experience with Sodexo’s HBCU Facilities Management Program Internship, where you will support and learn the core functions of Facilities Management. During this 10 to12 week paid internship, you will work alongside experienced Sodexo professionals who manage day-to-day operations that keep organizations running smoothly. Interns will have the opportunity to work across a variety of assignments, including maintenance, custodial operations, groundskeeping, event setup, and project coordination, while learning how service, safety, and sustainability come together to create exceptional environments. Sodexo partners with a range of universities to strengthen our student talent pipeline. All qualified students are encouraged to apply.

 

Internship Location: Beacon College Leesburg, FL

What You'll Do

  • Gain real-world experience in custodial, maintenance, grounds, construction management, events management and project management across client sites.
  • Collaborate with industry leaders and participate in mentorship and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop technical and operational knowledge in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, construction, and environmental services.
  • Engage in sustainability and safety initiatives that make an immediate and measurable impact.
  • Build leadership and communication skills that prepare you for future full-time opportunities.
  • Explore potential career pathways within Sodexo following successful completion of the program.

  • Be Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university as a rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a desire to learn in hands-on environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with interest in learning facility operations technology.
  • Collaborate effectively within a variety of teams and communicate clearly with peers and leaders.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Current college student with studies in hospitality/food management, facilities management, engineering, communications, human resources, accounting, marketing or another industry related college program.
