Commodities, Food and Agriculture (CF&A)
CF&A is a global leading team, consisting of more than 250 professionals dedicated to providing financial solutions to clients involved in the trading of physical commodities (energy, metals and minerals, and agriculture), as well as the producers and processors of metals and minerals, and food and agricultural products.
Overview
The CF&A internship offers a unique opportunity for individuals seeking hands-on experience in the dynamic world of commodity financing. Interns will support key CF&A activities within the client-facing Front Office Team, working closely with various internal stakeholders.
Interns will be immersed in a collaborative environment that fosters learning and will gain invaluable experience into the workings of a global financial institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Front Office
Client Management
Together with the Account Officer (AO),ย you have the responsibility to help the AO in managing banking services (including transactional trade finance products) offered to clients (or prospective clients)
Liaise with clients within the portfolio in deal management / transaction requests and ensuring that proposed deals are in conformity of the bankโs risk appetite and/or approved credit facility parameters
Work closely withย relevant product partners ย (including ย Middle Office, Risk, Operations, Financial Markets, among others) to ensure smooth and timely execution of transactions, and timely completion of credit reviews/credit modifications
Assist in credit & operational tasks including credit reviews, customer due diligence management, call reports, covenant monitoring and management reporting
Participate in ad-hoc projects or assignments, reporting, commercial and clientsโ meetings where necessary
What are the skill and qualification requirements of the role?
Minimum GPA of 3/4 or equivalent
Strong ย analytical skills and the ability to execute tasks efficiently
Resourceful and proactive mindsetย to learning and problem solving
Positive attitude in dealing with challenging and difficult situations
