The Equipment Development Engineering group (EDE) of Seagate Technology is a fully integrated equipment development team; we design and develop precision and fully automated assembly equipment and vision inspection machines. We strive to constantly incorporate IIOT, AI, machine learning image, and data analytics solutions into all our development enabling our equipment to realize factory smart intelligence thus creating a high-tech future-ready plant.

About the role - you will:

• Assist in designing and developing machine learning solution for equipment development as in image AI analytics
• Perform fine tuning and optimization for performance scalability, and reliability within equipment development domain
• Be assigned on additional tasks and responsibilities that will positively contribute towards team, department and company goals

About you:

• Self-motivated and process strong learning towards new technology and skillsets
• A positive mindset with a can-do attitude to challenge the impossible
• Good problem solving skills
• Fluent in English

Your experience includes:

• Preferable with Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science / Engineering, Data Science, or other similar / equivalent engineering background
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel)
• Knowledge in C#, Python, Pytorch library or other machine learning framework
• Self-motivated, independent and a team player with strong analytical skills
• Proficient in image processing or machine vision
• Experience on data science and AI technology thru past projects shall be favorable
• Bachelor student and/or equivalent experience

Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with more than 10,000 employees. Here, our team produces cloud-based storage equipment, from individual storage components to finished drives.
