<h1>Strategy &amp; Growth Internship, SumUp Lending – Berlin&nbsp;</h1> <p>At SumUp, we empower small business owners with accessible financial tools – and Lending is a critical part of that mission. Our Lending Tribe is focused on helping merchants get the capital they need to grow. As we scale, we’re seeking a highly motivated intern to support strategic growth initiatives, especially in Europe.&nbsp;You’ll work alongside the Growth Lead for Lending in Europe to bring data-driven experiments to life and make sure the right merchants get the right offers.&nbsp;</p> <h3><strong>What you’ll do</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Conduct qualitative research and sales calls to understand user feedback and test sales strategies&nbsp;</li> <li>Support the design, setup, and analysis of lending experiments to improve conversion rates</li> <li>Assist in strategic high priority projects like identifying promising merchant segments by analyzing performance and behavioral data using AI&nbsp;</li> <li>Support on fund raising activities like performance reporting&nbsp;</li> <li>Help execute operational tasks and ensure experiments and projects run smoothly</li> </ul> <h3><strong>You’ll be great for this role if</strong></h3> <ul> <li>You’re currently studying business, economics, data science or a related field with outstanding academic track record&nbsp;</li> <li>You have previous experience from a similar internship in a fintech, consulting or investment banking environment&nbsp;</li> <li>You’re an excellent communicator and enjoy collaborating with international teams and customers alike&nbsp;</li> <li>You thrive in high intensity environment</li> <li>You have strong analytical skills and feel comfortable working with data in Excel or Google Sheets (SQL is a plus).</li> <li>You’re proactive, curious, and not afraid to dive into complex topics like lending and credit</li> <li>You’re fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Why you should join SumUp</strong></h3> <ul> <li>You’ll gain first-hand experience in high-impact projects within a fast-growing FinTech environment</li> <li>You’ll work closely with a global team of growth experts, data analysts, and lending specialists.</li> <li>You’ll have real ownership from day one and be able to directly contribute to key business metrics.</li> <li>You’ll be able to use a variety of AI tools on real data&nbsp;</li> </ul> <h3><strong>About SumUp</strong></h3> <p>We believe in the everyday hero.</p> <p>Small business owners are at the heart of all we do, so we create powerful, easy-to-use financial solutions to help them run their businesses.
