SALES INTERN

PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION  

As a Sales Intern, you will support a designated production team here at Scott Insurance. Through the program, you will gain hands-on experience working with licensed agents, learning insurance concepts, engaging with customers, and contributing to meaningful sales activities in a fast-paced environment.

This will be an on-site position (5 days in-office per week). 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist licensed agent(s) with lead generation and client communications.
  • Analyze customer needs and local market trends to help identify sales opportunities and contribute to targeted outreach efforts.
  • Work closely with sales, service, and operations teams to deliver positive customer experiences and support overall agency goals.
  • Participate in training sessions on insurance fundamentals, sales strategies, compliance standards, and product knowledge.  
  • Maintain accurate and organized records in the agency’s CRM systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS 

  • Currently pursuing a BA/BS degree or Master’s program (ideally with a focus in Business, Marketing, Communication, Entrepreneurship, Professional Sales or a related field). 
  • Strong understanding of basic sales principles. 
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and Outlook).  
  • Willingness to travel across the Scott Insurance footprint.
