We’re building a world where Identity belongs to you.</p></div><p><strong>Location</strong></p> <p>We’re seeking a dynamic and motivated contributor to join our team in one of our key office locations: San Francisco.</p> <p><strong>About the Internship</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a Security Program Management Intern to support the Technology, Data, and Intelligence (TDI) Security team by assisting in tracking, coordinating, and reporting on key security initiatives. This role is PM/Analyst focused (not hands-on engineering) and is ideal for someone interested in coordinating the execution of security programs, engaging in cross-functional collaboration, and operational execution.</p> <p>The intern will work closely with Security Engineers, TPMs, and cross-functional partners to ensure projects stay on track, artifacts are organized, and leadership has clear visibility into progress and value delivery.</p> <p><strong>What You'll Get To Do</strong></p> <p>Project Tracking &amp; Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Track the status of security initiatives such as Annual Secrets Rotation and similar cross-functional OSIC programs relating to Information Security domains (e.g, Data Protection, Infrastructure Security, etc)</li> <li>Follow up with cross-functional partners to collect updates and unblock dependencies</li> <li>Maintain project trackers, inventories, and ensure accurate, up-to-date reporting to stakeholders</li> </ul> <p>Program Operations &amp; Documentation</p> <ul> <li>Validate and update Jira tickets in partnership with TPMs and engineers</li> <li>Update and maintain project documentation and runbooks</li> <li>Create and manage a centralized Confluence space for team artifacts</li> <li>Set up and organize shared drives (e.g., Google Drive) for the TDI Security team</li> </ul> <p>Reporting &amp; Readouts</p> <ul> <li>Help draft project status updates, summaries, and executive-ready readouts</li> <li>Explore using AI tools (e.g., Gemini) and custom AI agents to create prompt templates for:</li> <ul> <li>Weekly project updates</li> <li>Executive summaries</li> <li>Cross-team status reporting</li> </ul> </ul> <p>Process Improvement</p> <ul> <li>Identify efficiency and completeness gaps in tracking, documentation, or visibility and propose lightweight improvements</li> <li>Help standardize how the team reports progress across initiatives<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Will Learn</strong></p> <ul> <li>How large-scale security programs are planned and executed</li> <li>How to work cross-functionally with engineering, IAM, infrastructure, and TPM teams</li> <li>How security initiatives are tracked, reported, and presented to leadership</li> <li>Exposure to real-world security efforts such as OSIC, secrets management, and SaaS controls</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who We Are Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Security, Business, or a related field</li> <li>Strong organizational and communication skills</li> <li>Comfortable working with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Google Workspace</li> <li>Interest in information security, program management, or technical operations</li> <li>Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable following up with stakeholders</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prior internship or project experience in program management or analytics</li> <li>Familiarity with basic security concepts (no deep technical background required)</li> <li>Interest in using AI tools to improve reporting and productivity</li> </ul> <p><strong>Okta's Intern Program</strong></p> <p>As an intern, you’ll do real work that matters.
