We’re building a world where Identity belongs to you.</p></div><p><strong>Location</strong></p> <p>We’re seeking a dynamic and motivated contributor to join our team in one of our key office locations: San Francisco.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the Internship</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our growing team in Technology, Data, and Intelligence (TDI) and to help scale our business solutions while providing an extra focus on security, enabling Okta to be the most efficient, scalable, and reliable company. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing customizations, extensions, configurations, and integrations required to meet the company’s strategic business objectives. Candidates will work collaboratively with business stakeholders, business analysts, and engineers on different infrastructure layers, from proposal development to deployment and support. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem-solving and delivering high-quality solutions is essential. In addition, your product owner will look to you to provide all technical services—design, config, software development, and testing.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Get To Do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work with engineering management and an assigned mentor to scope and plan engineering efforts</li> <li>Design and implement core, high-performance, scalable software components</li> <li>Implement clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards</li> <li>Utilize test-driven development practices and participate in design and code reviews to ensure the reliability and maintainability of code</li> <li>Partner with QA, Product Management, Technical Support, Engineering peers, Documentation, and UX teams to ensure seamless integration and product delivery</li> <li>Ability to prepare and deliver clear, concise, and impactful presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who We Are Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>B.S. in Computer Science or related field and graduating December 2026 or Spring 2027</li> <li>Strong passion for software development, testing, and solving complex problems</li> <li>Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Go, Node.js, C++, Python)</li> <li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment</li> <li>Basic understanding of JavaScript and its role in modern application development</li> <li>Knowledge of web application frameworks, RDBMS &amp; Application Servers (experience in one or more preferred)</li> <li>Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical ideas clearly</li> <li>Prior internship or project experience in software development is a plus</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to have:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience building solutions using Salesforce, AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, Fargate, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS, and SES a strong plus</li> <li>Knowledge of RESTful APIs and API design principles</li> </ul> <p><strong>Okta’s Intern Program</strong><strong><br></strong>As an intern, you’ll do real work that matters.
