About the Role

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for a Communcations Intern to join our Charlotte, North Carolina (NC) office! This is not a remote position. 

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit content for internal and external audiences on a variety of platforms
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts to identify industry news, topics, and trends
  • Collaborate with partners across the firm to elevate region-specific content to entire firm
  • Write and edit content for intranet, external website, and social media platforms
  • Promote employee success and company culture through written storytelling
  • Edit and proofread materials for grammar, format, style, accuracy, and consistency
  • Support other communications department activities as needed

Qualifications

  • In the process of obtaining a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Communications, English, or related field
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments concurrently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
