About the Role

Calgon Carbon Corporation is currently looking for a dynamic, motivated college student for our 2026 Internship program which is scheduled to begin on June 1, 2026.


Position: IT Intern – SAP Implementation
Location: Headquarters – Moon Township, PA


Hours of work: Full-time position with hours generally Monday through Friday 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

Overview

Our internship program provides real-world experience enabling future professionals the ability to apply what they are learning in school, to applicable situations in a career field they are pursuing. This internship program helps interns gain additional skills that can be applied to future jobs. 

Calgon Carbon is currently in the process of a Global SAP Implementation Project and requires an intern to support our Data Migration and User Authorization efforts. This Intern position will extend the work of previous interns and will be involved with developing/executing/validating Data Extraction, Data Load Preparations and Data Load Validations for a variety of Master Data Objects (Materials Master, Vendor Master, Customer Master, etc.) The focus of the intern is to ensure that the data provided to the business users/received from the business users is processed to allow this data to be uploaded as part of Data Conversion Rehearsals. Additional support is required to review and map user security roles for the existing system users.


Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Import preliminary Data Extracts into Microsoft Access/SQL database (to be designed by intern)
  • Import sample Cleansed Data into above database
  • Import sample Data Load summary file into above database
  • Import sample Post Load extraction file into above database
  • Develop and execute procedures/queries/comparisons between the above data sets to allow the project team to Summarize/Validate/Prepare for Subsequent Test Conversions
  • Document all activities to enable the process to be repeated during subsequent data loads and validations
  • Prepare and present Intern Project to Calgon Carbon leadership

  • Self-motivated and able to acquire new skills quickly
  • Skilled in analyzing problems in a systematic and timely manner
  • Ability to look for creative ways in offering new approaches
  • Self-sufficient, self-motivated, and capable of multi-tasking
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL is preferred


Relevant Fields of Study - Working towards a bachelor’s degree or higher in:

  • Information Technology, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Math
