Job Description

In this role, the Business Excellence (Learning & development, Operational excellence, PMO) Intern will partner with various key stakeholders in the local Takeda organization to drive changes and promote lifelong learning such as digital fluency. If you are passionate and enthusiastic to learn the biopharmaceutical process at a holistic perspective, you will enjoy your learning journey with this fun and close-knit team.

The key responsibilities of the Training, Operational Excellence and PMO Intern are as below.

Operational Excellence

  • Learn and apply operation excellence tools in continuous improvements project(s) through working functions like Manufacturing and Quality Control Lab to drive compliance (e.g. applying problem solving tools to improve the overdue metrics), conducting GEMBA to prepare MFG and warehouse areas for 5S certification and value stream mapping for products produced on site. 

Learning and Development

  • Be a member of digitalization project to transit from paper to paperless for training completion

    • Work with manufacturing and quality control labs to new create on-the job training materials and quiz in the DMS and LMS

    • Deliver communication session on site to guide employees on the digital workflow

  • Experience how to deliver training (instructor led training and on the job training) for new employees on-boarding sessions in Virtual Reality training for aseptic processing together with experts from manufacturing and Microbiological laboratory

  • Learn and apply the use of digital tools in training (such as VR, AR application and/or digital visualization involving power BI and power apps)

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of site-wide learning assignments creation and amendments

  • Review completed training documents for good document practices (GDP) errors

  • Organizes and facilitate in lifelong learning (LLL) events together with HR and DD&T team to develop employees in technical, digital and adaptive skills

  • Write news article for LLL events to be posted on newsletter after event

Project Management Office

  • Assists in site project governance.

  • Liaises with Takeda employees for preparation of Project Management Council agenda and presentation deck.

  • Manages the updates to digital project records (SPOT) and site resource management tool.

Preferred Job Requirements or Experience

  • Keen interest to work in a biopharmaceutical industry

  • Basic understanding in operational excellence tools

  • Experience in Microsoft Office

  • Detail-oriented and proactive towards job responsibilities

  • Good interpersonal and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage various stakeholders

  • Team Player
