About the Role

Position Purpose:

 

In this position the intern/co-op will be exposed to a variety of Finance/Accounting functions at a manufacturing plant level.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Accounts Payable – Assist with processing incoming supplier invoices, coding, & entering.
  • Accounts Receivable – Assist with daily customer invoicing & cash application.
  • Fixed Asset Physical Inventory – Assist with on-going physical inventory of the fixed assets.
  • Implement document storage requirements to meet disposal dates as laid out in finance manual record retention policy.
  • Update federal ID numbers, remittance addresses, and tax classifications in the Supplier Master
  • Other projects as assigned.

 

Education and Training

  • Enrolled student working towards a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and strong planning skills.
  • Ability to meet and communicate with employees in a one on one and group setting.
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) is a must.
  • Effective verbal and written skills mandatory.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills required.

 Physical Demands

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position frequently.
  • Minimally need to move about inside office and plant designated area.
  • Frequent typing
