The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Marketing Department with a variety of social media and marketing initiatives, including:
• Writing and editing content for internal and external audiences
• Assisting marketing coordinators and managers with the development and implementation of social media plans, blog writing and website content editing
• Assisting marketing coordinators and managers in writing and/or editing patient education materials
• Assists in the tracking of approvals for marketing projects using divisional project management software
• Assisting marketing coordinators and managers in collecting patient stories, repurposing existing content for internal and external communications channels
• Assisting marketing coordinators and managers in writing and creating physician bios
• Shadowing or help with media assists, client meetings, photo and video shoots, special events and project management and budgeting
• Helping inform and engage diverse audiences by telling compelling stories that illustrate UF Health’s commitment to quality patient care, innovative research and health education to improve quality of life
• Other marketing and communications duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
This is a temporary internship position requiring a commitment of 15-20 hours a week. Candidates must be enrolled as a university junior, senior or graduate student in a marketing, advertising or communications program. Must have demonstrated experience writing for multimedia communications tools using Associated Press style. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work appropriately and professionally in a complex academic and business setting. Ideal candidates will have already successfully completed a marketing or communications internship. Must demonstrate initiative, professionalism, flexibility and a positive attitude.

Will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a "non-frequent driver"
NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile
a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
