About The Company
Flock Safety is the leading public safety platform designed to help communities prevent and reduce crime, not just respond to it. We partner with cities, law enforcement agencies, schools, businesses, and neighborhoods to deliver real-time, objective intelligence that helps stop crime quickly, responsibly, and transparently. Our technology captures objective evidence, such as vehicle and situational data, and applies privacy-first machine learning to surface actionable insights, so investigators can focus on facts, not guesswork. The result is faster resolutions, safer communities, and fewer intrusive policing practices. Unlike legacy systems built around force, hardware sprawl, or after-the-fact evidence review, Flock is purpose-built for crime prevention and accountability at scale. Our cloud-native platform is easy to deploy, simple to use, and designed with civil liberties at the core, including built-in data minimization, auditing, and user transparency. Why communities choose Flock Safety: Prevention-first public safety: stop crime earlier with shared, objective intelligence. Privacy by design: clear retention controls, audit logs, and policy-driven access. Real-time insights: machine learning that helps identify leads in minutes, not days. Unified platform: cameras, sensors, and intelligence working together seamlessly. Community trust: technology that supports public safety without overreach. Today, thousands of cities and organizations rely on Flock Safety to reduce crime, improve clearance rates, and build safer environments - without compromising the values of the communities they serve. Flock Safety is redefining public safety for the modern world: proactive, accountable, and community-centered.

With nearly $700M in venture funding and a $7.5B valuation, we’re scaling intentionally and seeking top talent to help build the impossible. If you value teamwork, ownership, and solving tough problems, Flock could be the place for you.

Emerging Talent

We are seeking multiple Interns for Summer 2026! These are paid, in-person, 12 week internships based out of Atlanta, GA.

At Flock, we believe emerging talent is the future of innovation. Our Emerging Talent Program gives early-career professionals the opportunity to make an immediate impact on real-world challenges while learning in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’ll work alongside experienced mentors, build skills that accelerate your career, and contribute directly to our mission of creating safer, thriving communities. From day one, you’re treated like a full-time employee, with real projects, real responsibility, and real impact.

The Opportunity

As a Technical Project Management Intern, you’ll support Flock Safety’s Device Engineering organization and play a hands-on role in building technology that helps keep communities safer. You’ll work closely with embedded software, hardware, and quality teams to help drive execution on real-world engineering initiatives that power Flock’s industry-leading devices.

Projects may include device accessories, power- and infrastructure-free deployment solutions, manufacturing and special operations initiatives, and internal process improvements—all tied directly to scaling reliable, high-impact technology in the field. You’ll gain practical experience planning, tracking, and communicating progress across cross-functional teams, while learning how complex technical products move from concept to production.

This internship offers exposure to the full device development lifecycle and the opportunity to make meaningful contributions alongside experienced engineers and TPMs at a fast-growing, mission-driven company where the work you support has real-world impact.

The Skillset

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline

  • Interest in technical project management and working with hardware, embedded software, and cross-functional engineering teams

  • Ability to help build and maintain project plans, timelines, and task tracking in partnership with engineers and stakeholders

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, follow-through, and accountability

  • Comfort communicating clearly and proactively, including facilitating meetings, capturing notes and decisions, and helping keep teams aligned on priorities

  • Willingness to identify risks, blockers, or gaps and raise them early, with a mindset of ownership and problem-solving

  • Technical foundation or coursework in engineering, computer science, or a related field that enables effective collaboration with technical teams

  • Familiarity with project management or collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, or similar) is a plus

  • Exposure to embedded systems, hardware development, IoT devices, or Android-based systems is a plus, but not required

Feeling uneasy that you haven’t ticked every box? That’s okay; we’ve felt that way too. Studies have shown women and minorities are less likely to apply unless they meet all qualifications. We encourage you to break the status quo and apply to roles that would make you excited to come to work every day.

Compensation

In this role, you’ll receive an hourly rate of $30-35/hr. Interns are expected to work a full 40-hour week during the duration of their internship.

Location

This role is based in Atlanta, GA, where you’ll join our dynamic team to collaborate in person and drive innovation. Candidates must reside in or relocate to Atlanta, GA, for this position.
