Position Specific Description

The Renewable Training Center (RTC) Training Onboarding/Admin Intern will provide onboarding and administrative support to the training team, assisting with the coordination, documentation, and execution of training-related activities. This role offers hands-on experience in learning and development within a renewable energy environment and is ideal for candidates interested in training, human resources, operations, or organizational development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support onboarding activities for new hires, including preparation of materials, scheduling sessions, and coordination with trainers and stakeholders
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to training programs, including data entry, record maintenance, and document management
  • Help track training completion, attendance, and compliance using learning management systems and internal tools
  • Prepare and update training materials, presentations, and onboarding resources as needed
  • Coordinate logistics for training sessions, meetings, and events (virtual and in-person)
  • Provide general administrative support to the RTC training team, including meeting notes, communications, and reporting
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline onboarding and administrative processes

Job Overview

To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists department with assigned projects
  • Completes challenging projects and assignments
  • Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship
  • Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school grad / GED
  • Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
  • Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
