About the Role
Overview

Scope of Position

As an HR Intern at Haskell, you will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of Human Resources, including supporting performance management tracking and reporting, onboarding processes, and supporting day – to – day human resources operations. This internship is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of HR functions within a dynamic work environment.

 Job Responsibilities

  1. Carries out various human resources tactical functions and procedures to assist HR Operations team.
  2. Updates HR company SharePoint page to ensure it best supports team member’s needs.  
  3. Assist with quarterly reporting and compiling information and/or reports for special projects.
  4. Assists with preparation of mandatory reporting submissions, including EEO-1 filings, AAP and other compliance reports.
  5. At the direction of the HR Ops Specialists, creates status change memos for team members (promotions, transfers, assignments etc..).
  6. Collaborate with managers to create, update, and maintain accurate job descriptions for all positions.
  7. Maintain up to date and accurate HR resources including policies, procedures and job descriptions.
  8. Participate in the development, review, and update of HR policies and procedures.
  9. Conduct audits to ensure adherence to legal and organizational requirements, including I9 audits.
  10.  Assists with tracking and overseeing performance management programs and processes.
  11. Assists with the quarterly drug screen process.
  12. Perform other duties and assigned projects as needed.

 

Education/Experience:  

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field.

 

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications Etc.

  1. Proficient in Microsoft office skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  2. Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to maintain confidential information
  3. Effective written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  4. Be detail oriented and recognize errors in numbers and spelling in written materials.
  5. Eagerness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements 

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (life, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
